THE SONORAN PROCESS

ASSESSMENT AND TREATMENT PLANNING

Sonoran LBS includes an assessment process to capture all information necessary for a customized treatment package. The Verbal Behavior Milestones and Placement Program, Assessment of Functional Living Skills-Revised, or Essentials for Living are utilized and administered by a BCBA. Caregiver input is encouraged throughout this phase to produce successful outcomes. Treatment planning begins immediately after assessments are conducted to ensure quick turnaround for families and their children.

SERVICE DELIVERY AND ANALYSIS

Service delivery encompasses all aspects of an individualized and agreed upon treatment plan. This can include individual therapy and caregiver training in the home, clinic, community, or school setting. Data collected during therapy sessions are graphed to allow for weekly analysis. Ongoing data analysis is completed by a Behavior Analyst to determine effectiveness of treatment and identify when a change is necessary. Monthly meetings with caregivers are conducted for data reviews and progress updates.

GRADUATION AND TRANSITION

Transition planning begins day one to establish a target for graduation. As a child continues to grow and increase their independence, a plan must be in place to reduce the need for services. To promote and increase the opportunity for a warm handoff, a child's transition plan will be evaluated monthly to confirm the team is on the right track to independence and the family's long-term vision. When ready, a child will graduate from services with a certificate and celebration.
